On-Site Balancing

Rotor Balancing

Unbalance is created when a machine's centre of rotation differs from the centre of gravity. This can happen due to product or particles adhering to the rotor, or an uneven change in the impeller weight distribution. Though this is a common cause of excessive vibration, sometimes, other issues mask as unbalance, which is when vibration analysis is necessary. In most cases, we can fix balance problems in place. Over time, unbalance deteriorates other mechanical elements, such as bearings, shafts and structures, magnifying the problem..

Maintaining the balance condition of your machinery provides:

On-Site Rotor Balancing

Dynamic on-site balancing is provided by an experienced vibration technician for in-place balancing requirements. If the equipment can be operated at speed and there is access to the balance correction planes on the rotor, we will perform single and multi-plane balancing on rigid and flexible rotors. We strive to provide you balancing with precision tolerances with a minimal amount of our service time and your down time and a quick return to service.

During balancing, very close attention is paid to other conditions which may be adversely affecting operation of the machinery. Any such conditions detected while rotor balancing are addressed and resolved at the appropriate time with respect to the balancing program. After balancing, rotor balance sensitivities are permanently recorded. All service is followed up with a written report detailing findings, corrections, recommendations, etc.
